The underlying principles of the volume solution for a sports centre can be considered the optimal interaction with environment and an ascendant form of the building that becomes a part of the surrounding landscape.
An inclined surface of the roof under maintenance becomes continuation of the pedestrian direction, thereby creating an inviting gesture for visitors. The roof represents a ramp with entrance apertures to the building and can be regarded as an excellent observation platform, allowing not only to admire beautiful vistas, but also to watch the games of soccer and golf played at the nearby fields.
The building is defined by the space that is free from columns and created by means of using the large-span structures. The minimum quantity of the interior partitions permits to achieve an effect of some vacant facilities that permeate each other.
Apart from the main entrance located on the roof, there are also additional entranceways to the building which can be found on the ground level. There is a separate entrance to the administrative area to be used by the complex’s employees. Besides their work offices, in the administrative part of the building there can also be seen a conference hall and amenity rooms for use by the personnel.
The vertical permutation all across the building can be done by making use of stairways and lifts.
The building comprises both open and shut sport facilities. The outdoor swimming pool and the climbing gym are both located within the structure of the building and, therefore, do not overlap.
On the first floor there can be seen the open and closed swimming pools, the double-lights foot hall courts, in addition to the lockers and showers which can also be found on the second floor.
On the second floor, opposite the main entrance, there is a reception. To reach the fitness centre and the climbing gym, one must walk along a broad walkway alongside the façade which also serves the purpose of being a balcony, letting one to watch the games played at the hall down the first floor. There is also the first-aid medical office located up the second floor.
The third floor is occupied by a beauty farm and a wellness centre whose general layout repeats the designing of the facilities located within the administrative section down in the first floor, creating an effect of cylindrical spheres passing by through the overlaps in the building. This allows to create some interesting interiors using translucent materials.
The café situated upon the 3rd floor has a separate entranceway out to the roof whereupon additional tables may be brought for extra customers.
The façade constructions are made from the transparent glass and protected from hits of the football with the façade profile system.
