Multifunctional complex in Zarvantsi, Vinnytsia region, is designed as a space that unites visitors and locals through a blend of modern architecture, nature, and cultural heritage. Inspired by Ukrainian identity and the aesthetics of Trypillian culture, the project reinterprets ancient symbolism through a contemporary lens.
The buildings form a semi-enclosed block with a central public square that fosters community interaction. Hills and two lakes integrate the architecture into the natural landscape — one lake remains almost untouched, while the other leads visitors toward the SPA center, framed by clay vessels.
The cascading hotel section unfolds along the slope, forming terraces with a sports zone, summer restaurant, pool, and quiet recreation areas overlooking the water. A nearby park offers activities for all ages and habitats for birds.
The project combines diverse functions — hotel, restaurant, event hall, conference zones, and pottery studio — under the principle of “form follows function.” Each block has a distinct silhouette. The hotel’s lobby is accessed through a canopy with a flowing stream, and guest rooms feature ceramic louvers.
The event hall and pottery studio are connected by an open gallery, allowing visual continuity with the surroundings. The studio includes an exhibition and school, filled with natural light. The event hall is modular, adaptable to weddings, art events, or conferences.
Initially based on another firm’s concept, the project was rethought through integrated design. Collaboration among architects, engineers, and planners led to a new multifunctional program — hotel, restaurants, SPA, pottery studio, event hall, and wellness center.
As a result, the project became not just architecture but a catalyst for reimagining the client’s strategy and creating a place in harmony with culture and nature.
