Collaborators: The project was student led with engineering and design students led by the Opportunities Lab at FEIT with the Urban Ecology and Design Lab and the Water Resources Lab in the school of Agriculture, Food and Ecosystem Sciences.
The Remix rain garden was student led. The students won the Innovation Challenge Award for Fishermen’s Bend. Working as a team between engineering, ecology and landscape architecture, the team successfully built recycled waste rain garden units at Fishermen’s Bend, designed as an experiment. The UEDLAB played a core role in supporting the student built project and is now constructing version 2.0.
