The project brief is consisted of a side return extension connected to the lounge and the rear garden. Our approach to the brief was to create a bright and functional transitional space linking the garden with the ground floor of the house.
The wrap-over glazing allows new uninterrupted views from the sky to the garden landscaping. The polished concrete floor is a hard wearing, wipe clean surface that easily accommodates the challenging use of the kitchen use in a family house. The extension side wall is finished in brick, selected to complement the tone of the aged London stock brick of the existing house.
