Behind an elongated office and commercial building stand 12 timber point blocks consisting of 143 living units total. Except for their massive stairwells, these five-story buildings are made from cross-laminated timber panels. Solid wood panels inside the flats were combined with loam rendering and left visible on the ceilings. Since these buildings generate more energy than they need by using alternative energy sources such as geothermal piles, solar thermal collectors and photovoltaics, they are able to supply excess heat and cooling energy to the office building.
