Redesign of a House in Pikermi
Athens, Greece
The project is about a private residence for a five-member family, in Pikermi, a suburb about 20 km from the center of Athens, in eastern Attica. The two-storey building is located in the center of a 5000 sq.m. plot. The living room and the kitchen are on the first floor and they have access and views to the garden. The bedrooms and the family room are on the first floor. Every room has nice views to the surrounding area. Our intention during the design process was to create a combination of independent volumes separated with shaders of different materials. A white concrete ribbon is running around the house joining the house volumes with the barbeque area, unifying the separated volumes to a unit. Office 25 worked in this project with the architect Agelliki Xintara and also with the interior designer Katerina Papadopoulou.
