This project consists of the design of twelve stations, including both the stations and kiosks, for a public transportation network called « Bus Rapid Transit » that recognizes the importance of interconnectivity between the various existing and future transportation networks, promoting ease of use for users.
Situated in Gatineau, along the railway corridor of the company Les chemins de fer Québec-Gatineau inc., the 12 km network will create a link between the downtown centers of Gatineau and Ottawa and their suburbs to the East of the city.
The project also includes a bike path along the entire route.
The mandate includes the preparation of a functional and technical program as well as the development of a consistent architectural language for the entire network. The design of the stations was conceived with a vision towards the standardization of structural elements and the integration of systems and specialized equipment such as dynamic displays, video surveillance, signage and radiant heating. Four types of stations are proposed, each adapted to the site on which they are situated.
