Architectural design & documentation for new bike ferry terminal.

In its first year of business, the Queen City Bike Ferry exceeded all expectations and carried about 50,000 people between Canalside and the Outer Harbor. But there was a need for a more formal - and comfortable - place for people to wait for the ferry. The Erie Canal Harbor Development Corporation engaged a team led by DiDonato Associates to design a new gateway to the Outer Harbor which included sheltered seating, queuing areas, and safe access to a larger dock.

Officially opening for the Memorial Day weekend, the project will be fully completed when large canvas shade sails and a ticket booth are installed later this summer.
