The challenges for the renovation of this residence, initially built in 1922, were as many as the limitations.
An introvert garden surrounds the extroverted building: the continuous window walls unify the interior with the exterior, in a way that the garden intrudes into the sojourn spaces. The swimming pool expands until the edge of the window walls. From the exterior, the space looks like floating on the water. The open plot ground floor is paved with wood. The custom made pendulous iron fire place, designed by the architect, permits see-through views from the living-room towards the swimming pool.
The staircase is a dominant feature. It is custom made from crystal panels, iron and wood steps and drives to the second layer, as well as to the opened attic that serves as a library and office. The master bedroom consists of an open space - bedroom, wardrobe and bathroom - with wide window walls. The washbasin stands free in front of a window frame and the mirrors are hidden on the side cabinet’s doors. A sliding wood panel isolates the bedroom and at the same time covers a fitted book case.
