This wonderful Italianate style home was originally built in 1923 for Henry Zellerbach of the Zellerbach Paper Company in San Francisco. In 2010, John K. Anderson Design and Sutro Architects embarked on a top-to-bottom remodel with complete reconfiguration of the basement and top levels. The house now has four full floors connected by a beautiful new curved staircase with modern custom metal railing. The Family Room-Kitchen now resides in the former Living Room with stunning views of the Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, and Sausalito framed by a huge single curved glass bay window. All baths were completely gutted and enlarged. New European White Oak floors and intricate plaster mouldings throughout lend a Parisian old world elegance. A sophisticated mix of European vintage and modern furnishings by Herve Van Der Straeten, Ico Parisi, David Weeks, The Rug Company, and Lindsay Edelman, as well as other custom pieces, create a rich dialog in rooms of relaxed elegance.
