Designed for a young couple who live in Londrina in the north of Paraná, the concept of the Praia apartment arose from the idea of creating a comfortable environment to be in. With 181 m², the apartment has a large social area consisting of a TV room, living room, dining room, kitchen and barbecue area, as well as three suites and a service area connected to the kitchen.
The project maintained the original layout of the plant, which already served customers, and the strategy was to create an environment that reflected the desire to live in a truly cozy space. To achieve this, the furniture (planned and loose), textures and decoration gained neutral tones that in a way refer to beach houses: sand, wood and vegetation.
Right at the entrance, the toilet with access from the living room was transformed into a slatted wooden box that also serves as a china cabinet in the kitchen. In the living/TV and dining rooms, wooden pieces and neutral upholstery stand out, connected to the barbecue by black aluminum frames. The choice of metals in the same color brought the atmosphere of the apartment closer to a more urban aesthetic, reflecting its location.
In the barbecue, an island with a curved stone shape repeats the material of the bench on the wall. The same wood frames the closet in this space, creating a visual connection with the surrounding spaces. The kitchen coverings have a texture that resembles sand, integrating with the other materials in the space.
