The landscape architect implemented a hybrid pool in the new garden design. Embedded in a round garden terrace. The rounded shapes were very present in the existing house on the property.
The round garden terrace became the starting point for the design of a poolhouse. Two free standing walls define the edges of the garden terrace and search for a balance between shelter and openness. The rectangular volume of the poolhouse interacts with the two rounded walls in the front, which define its boudaries. In the center a chimney looking accent was placed to house the changing room. To contrast with the flat surfaces it was given a rough brick surface, with bricks in warm brown-grey colors to give the whole image just the right amount of warmth.
