Program: Freestanding wall partitionLocation: London, EnglandYear: 2011The design of this dynamic wall partition was focused on the challenge of creating a three dimensional freestanding wall partition made entirely from flat sheet material. Composed entirely of a network of stacked 3D polygons, the density of the partition articulation responds to the curvature of the surface, whereas the orientation and aperture size are driven by specific view vectors from within the gallery space. Key views are highlighted, while other views are blocked. The entire assembly is made from 3mm thick polished aluminium sheets, laser cut and etched for folding and assembly notation, and hand-folded and assembled.
