The Plage des Nations Mosque project seeks to reconcile heritage and modernity through an architecture that is at once refined, luminous, and symbolic.
White concrete arches define an elegant and timeless structure, capturing natural light and creating a serene atmosphere. On the façade, a perforated white screen, inspired by traditional Moroccan patterns, filters sunlight and casts a subtle play of shifting shadows, giving the building a poetic and vibrant quality.
We take advantage of the steep slope to allow the building to be both a monumental presence at the scale of the roadway and a simple esplanade when viewed from within the site.
The roof of the prayer hall becomes a promenade garden, giving the minaret a distinctive floating presence. With its contemporary design, the minaret rises with simplicity and elegance, marking its presence without ostentation.
Inside, the wooden maqsura stands out through its refined geometric forms, bringing warmth and depth to the prayer space.
The mosque embodies a balance between memory and innovation ; it pays tribute to Moroccan craftsmanship while inscribing it within an architectural expression oriented toward the future.
