During the Pitti Uomo 97 event at Palazzo Pucci, the Finnish brand Fiskars, famous for its stylish designer items for home and gardening, unveiled its first collection of workwear and tools designed for gardening and urban exploration. The collection was designed by designer Maria Korkeila, and features bright hues.
The goal was to create a layout that would reflect the style of the capsule collection and blend harmoniously with the setting, which consists of two fully frescoed halls, one large and one smaller.
Two solutions were proposed, but the one chosen included a series of rhythmically spaced black desks placed in the center of the main hall. The desks were made entirely of recyclable materials and illuminated by cool LED lights, which enhanced the hues of the garments and vegetation on display.
This arrangement allowed participants and the press to move freely around the stalls to observe the products from all angles. The second hall, communicating with the first, hosted a large black installation with the top side backlit, intended for the display of tools. Again, the installation was placed in the center to ensure continuity of the design and free movement.
