The clients decided to entrust the renovation of the entire house to our studio, with the aim of obtaining an improvement in terms of style, distribution and energy.
The intervention, although involving the entire villa of the seventies, from a design point of view preserves the existing masonry and focuses on the living area located on the second floor, in particular on the kitchen, now an independent room. Thanks to some demolitions and the creation of partitions that serve as furniture, the entrance hall, kitchen, corridor leading to the sleeping area, living room and staircase with its parapet are connected in a direct way, so as to allow more distributive freedom to natural light and the inhabitants of the house. White walls, flooring and light oak wood furnishings give the design harmony, warmth and order.
The sleeping area, visible from the entrance, is enhanced and made communicative with the described rooms by reinterpreting the hallway with new proportions and using invisible doors and equal finishes. The four bedrooms remain as such, while the bathrooms are redesigned to offer greater functionality and new finishes.
The ground floor, consisting of the garage, studio, utility rooms and veranda, sees only the enhancement of the latter, thanks to the replacement of anodized aluminum window frames with small openings, with large full-hole window frames that can be opened with tilt-and-turn systems, so as to allow a direct relationship with the garden in every season of the year.
The furnishings in the kitchen, bathrooms and living room were entirely designed to give the project a continuous language and maximum attention to detail.
