Urban Design Group served as both architect and project manager for Peabody Walk Lofts, transforming a series of fragmented parcels along 28th Street into a cohesive, high-density multifamily development. The firm led complex coordination with Baltimore City agencies and neighborhood stakeholders to secure approvals, consolidate lots, and deliver a design that balanced community goals with ownership objectives. The long, linear site informed an efficient layout organized around two stairwells and a double-loaded corridor, maximizing light, air, and privacy within a compact footprint. Featuring 22 residential units and 23 off-street parking spaces, the project enhances the corridor’s urban fabric with an activated street frontage while maintaining a sense of separation from the public realm. Through strategic planning and strong local relationships, Urban Design Group navigated extensive entitlement and design challenges to deliver a successful, community-centered residential project that contributes to neighborhood vitality and urban reinvestment.
