The project for sculptor Paulo Neves’ atelier was conceived to create a constant dialogue between natural light and sculpted forms, transforming light into an essential element that reveals and highlights the expressiveness conveyed by the artist’s hands.
Light takes center stage, modulating and enhancing the surfaces and volumes of the sculptures, creating shadows and reflections that bring life and dynamism to the space. This interplay of natural light accentuates the plasticity of the works, making every moment of contemplation unique and inspiring.
The atelier is organized into two distinct moments, though imperceptible in the geometric volumetry that characterizes the exterior. The first, of a more refined nature, was designed to highlight the finished sculptures, creating an environment that invites admiration and reflection. The second moment, more technical, allows direct contact with works in progress, revealing the movement and transformation inherent in the act of sculpting.
This dual concept, subtly integrated into a box-shaped volumetry, translates into a harmonious balance between light, form, and function, providing a complete and immersive artistic experience.
