ParkCity Tower is a landmark 46-storey integrated office and retail project in Desa ParkCity, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Located adjacent to TownPark Lake, the project takes full advantage of its spectacular waterfront setting. RLP Asia’s design team sought to create a biophilic, life-centric and future-ready workplace that delivers a unique spatial and community experience for users.
The building features 36 office floors and six levels of retail space and amenities. All 239 office units have a pillar-free design which provides full waterfront views while introducing abundant natural light and flexibly accommodating diverse tenant needs. The 836+ sq.m. of indoor and outdoor communal spaces include an open lawn on Level 7 that directly connects to meeting rooms, and a landscaped deck on Level 19 that brings our vision of a vertical, green low-carbon community to life.
ParkCity Tower prioritises natural ventilation and daylighting, with sustainable elements integrated throughout the project. The over 10m gradient from the main entrance to the lake creates a “staircase” effect, guiding pedestrians to the lakeside and forming ventilation corridors that circulate air and alleviate the urban heat island effect. This terraced design creates alfresco retail areas, while vertical greening and sky platforms further regulate the microclimate.
The multi-level pedestrian flow builds a community atmosphere and promotes green mobility. A lakeside walkway system links the tower with nearby buildings, public spaces and facilities, forming a pedestrian-friendly central hub. The retail podium is also linked to adjacent buildings via pedestrian bridges, attracting even more footfall. The ground-level retail spaces have an all-weather open design that connects to the lakeside walkway, further integrating ParkCity Tower into the surrounding natural environment.
