Herzog & de Meuron of Basel, Switzerland, together with Platt Byard Dovell White as Architect of Record, are creating New York’s new performance and visual arts space at the Park Avenue Armory. The restoration of the Armory is a monumental commission. Work on the multi-phased project to restore this National Historic Landmark and create a state-of-the-art performance settings and exhibition spaces for large and small scale and multidisciplinary art has been underway since 2005.
