The urban design of Metro Line 2 emerges as a solution to the necessity of creating accessible pedestrian spaces in our city, particularly in light of a massive mobility project like the Metro.
This initiative considers not only pedestrian design but also transportation and infrastructure within a strip approximately 300 meters on either side of the stations. The design integrates with the existing urban environment while accommodating the new developments around the stations.
The intervention strip spans from the outermost lane to the facades of existing buildings, addressing various spatial needs. It includes bus and taxi stops, pedestrian areas, plazas, parking lots, green spaces, the restoration of sidewalks and pavements within properties, lighting, video surveillance, and advertising displays (mupis).
