PAK Office is a renovation project in Hanoi, occupying two floors with a total usable area of 150 square meters. Originally, these two floors functioned as separate spaces with no internal connection, making the workplace feel narrow, enclosed, and constrained.
By sacrificing a generous portion of floor area to create a large void, the design establishes a strong spatial connection throughout the office, allowing daily activities to unfold in a more open and engaging way. Within this connected environment, team members can experience a stronger sense of interaction, communication, and belonging.
The focal point of this void is a steel staircase running alongside a two-storey shelving system, where architectural models are displayed as the results of our research process in each project. Seeing these models every day gives us renewed motivation and fuels our passion to continue pursuing creative work in the future.
Taking advantage of the office’s favorable southeast orientation, along with the greenery and open space in front, the architects introduced a large glass-brick wall as a key design feature. This element brings abundant natural light into the workspace, creating subtle and ever-changing effects throughout the day. As a result, the office becomes more dynamic, fresh, and full of energy.
The green balcony is also fully utilized, forming a landscaped area that interacts with both floors. It serves as a place where team members can relax, enjoy a cup of coffee, or release negative emotions, helping each working day become more meaningful.
Ultimately, we hope that each of us can experience workplaces that are truly suitable, uplifting, and filled with positive emotions—spaces that allow us to create meaningful values for our company, for society, and for the one-third of our lives we spend working, so that work can become an enjoyable part of life.
