ONE SOHO sits at the intersection of heritage and modernity. The neighborhood, layered with rich historical significance, has become a thriving arts and culture district appealing to creatives and young entrepreneurs. Inspired by the transformative qualities of its urban fabric, via. drew synergies with Manhattan’s Chelsea district for the design of ONE SOHO Clubhouse.
The vision was to create a social hub where elements of leisure, wellness and work cometogether in one free-flowing space. Designed to be relaxed and approachable, ONE SOHO Clubhouse boasts interconnecting rooms where activities unfold in a seamless indoor-outdoor journey. The design language takes reference from Midtown Manhattan aesthetics, blending mid-century influences with vibrant colors to reflect the energy of the neighborhood.
The PORCH marks the club’s sense of arrival, giving guests first impressions with views of a covered garden and access to the various functions. The hallway also serves as an intimate transitional space connected with the MAILROOM, a space for chance meetings of neighbors, which is given a soothing apple green.
At the heart of the clubhouse, the ROASTERY is a coffee-themed, versatile space designed to accommodate both work and relaxation throughout the day. Taking the phonetic “rose” from ROASTARY, a rosy salmon hue and muted earthy shades are used to evoke a sense of comfort and relaxation. A deep navy blue tile is used for the washroom areas accompanying the ROASTARY.
Passing through the ANTEROOM - an open vestibule and library with outdoor access – guests will arrive at the Club’s all-inclusive lounge and dining venue, the GREAT ROOM. Complete with a catering pantry, fireside seating, a bar and dining table, the lavish set-up is styled with colorful accent materials. Painted in a neutral bone color to receive daylight, the GREAT ROOM features large windows and skylights that embrace city views while bringing the outside in.
Outside, the PAVILION - a standalone function space – is situated at the far end of the garden. The interior is predominantly in tones of timber, accented by deep blue upholstery and drapery. Animated by landscape and surrounding vistas, it is ideal for hosting all kinds of outdoor parties and social get-togethers.
At the opposite end of the clubhouse is the BAR, adorned with golden walls in Venetian paint finish, this space boasts upholstered furniture, shelves showcasing objet d'art, and a sleek stone bar table – a true sanctuary within the club.
