As a part of another housing at Omaxe NRI city, Greater NOIDA, the requirement of the club was more to do with the utilitarian needs of the inhabitants for a coffee shop, swimming pool, a spa and a gymnasium at a more personal community level. Designed as an isolated pod, at the corner of the site overlooking the expressway, the idea was to create a more intimate space maintaining the communal privacy. The adaptation of the concept was from a traditional courtyard space that lies at the center of the activity space within the realms of Indian community. The swimming pool became the center of the courtyard flanked by a covered amphitheatre that would not only act as a visual and an acoustic barrier between the club and the expressway but, also give a chance to perpetuate a community lifestyle. Rest of the spaces were located around the pool and their terraces treated as permanent roof gardens reducing the load on cooling as well as adding a lovely roofscape for the residents above.
