The Oil factory Čepin is the leading processor of oilseeds in Croatia, with a processing capacity of 150,000 tonnes and a production capacity of 32 million litres of refined oil per year.
The production processes in the Oil factory Čepin are carried out in three basic production plants: pressing plant, refinery and filling plant. The filling plant has fully automated production lines with a capacity of 6,000 litres per hour and its own air-conditioned high-bay storages with access ramps. Using state-of-the-art technology, all production processes have been brought to a very high degree of automation, which ensures consistently high quality of the end products. A high level of automation allows the factory to centrally control and manage the entire manufacturing process, through tools for visualization, control and management of the production process.
Also it was necessary to have environmentally friendly and energy-efficient production by recirculating cooling water, pre-treating industrial wastewater and using internal ventilation systems. By building a new boiler plant that runs on sunflower shells, there is new and increased the efficiency and reliability of thermal energy use in the plant. With this investment, the Oil factory Čepin reduced the consumption of fossil fuels and CO 2 emissions and achieved significant economic savings in the production of thermal energy.
The leading position in the domestic market is the result of longstanding experience in the production of sunflower and rapeseed oil, as well as sunflower and rapeseed meal. The aim of the project was to improve the quality of our raw materials, technological processes and end products.
