The STW office is the creation of a 'new universe' within a typical 4x10 m space located in a mixed-use complex in the southwestern area of the city of Puebla. The task was to design a private office, a general area for the staff, and a service area.
In the typical blank or generic space (in its raw construction state) when a commercial space is handed over, the first premise was to create a floor plan that broke away from the standardized tenant layout. This led to the design of the circular ceiling constructed with a series of walnut beams, creating a rhythm with the proposed center point, organizing the lighting and the transition from the public to the private area.
At the entrance to the office, the ceiling blends with a partition made of the same material to create a new face from the complex corridor. The side furniture solutions address the workspace and storage, contrasting with the floor finished in 'black rain' marble. Finally, the director's office is adorned with a pine wood structure, not only to conceal the new plumbing installation but also as a metaphor for hierarchy and leadership.
