Our objective was to reorganize an existing building for manufacturing use, dedicating a limited portion of the space to the creation of an office area for a famous furniture assembly company. Despite the client's numerous needs and the small size of the available area, we strove to meet them all without compromising our vision of space and environment.
We decided to make wood the protagonist of the project, creating a conceptual link with the client company's market sector.
On the ground floor we divided the space into a small entrance with a waiting area for customers, a reception desk, two enclosed offices, a bathroom, and a relaxation corner with a coffee area and photocopier. The walls were made with door furniture to optimize the available space. On the second floor, the environment was divided into an open space with four workstations, two offices, a meeting room, a bathroom, and a kitchen equipped with a table for employee lunch breaks.
To let in natural light into the rooms that did not have direct access to the outside, we installed windows facing the common space. In addition, we provided the possibility of closing these windows through the insertion of curtains hidden within the wood paneling.
