Located within the Carré de Soie area, this project was designed as a “building that is a block” to play off the contrast between the very urban situation along the Esplanade Miriam Makeba and a luxuriant open garden at the entrance.
We envisioned a variable geometry building with cores compacted to the maximum to benefit the large workspaces that cut across the entire floor, which are free of any structure. The undulation of the façades and the form of the brise soleil that shade them create varying perspectives and visual openings that reveal an interior world at once soft and spectacular.
The upper floors are sculpted in continuity with the curves of the façades and they open up onto large terraces that provide both sunshine and calm, removed as they are from the noise of the city. On the same level and directly accessible from the main circulations, they are a place for new work practices and uses: informal meetings, relaxation, sports, and vegetable garden.
