Office building Crnuce

Ljubljana, Slovenia

YEAR
2010
SIZE
300,000 sqft - 500,000 sqft
The name of the commercial property derives from the site: it is located in Crnuče,a neighborhood in the northern part of Ljubljana, on left bank of SavaRiver.
Characterized by a simple rectangular footprint, the building is a result of clearly articulated, straightforward and buildable design: a 16.00 m x 60.00 m x 22m high box containing ground floor and upper 5 floors.
The choice of material was simple: glazing for the main facade and cladding with aluminium plates for the other three. Generously glazed, the southern facade takes account of the adjacent corn fields and trees allowing employees unique, unimpeded views of the landscape.
The facility provides space for business program in the upper floors while the ground floor accomodates a restaurant, bar and an art gallery. All business communications, entrances and exits are tied to the central reception area.
Floors above the ground floor level are designed as a office floors for staff and clients with an inner division allowing flexible design solutions in the future.
Bright rooms characterize all of the floorplans. The interiors are kept neutral to allow individual users to develop their own look.
