Situated in a 1600 sqm piece of land not far from the busy Metro, the Owner / Architect aims to establish a place of tranquility and relaxation for visitors, a state of the art venue for congregations, and a local excursion site. It is the vision of the Architect to enhance the vacation experience in the local area by providing a flexible open space for events and parties.
Having existing structures upon the beginning of the project, The Obsidian Pool and Lounge is the 1st Phase of the Resort Development led by Bestbuild; The whole property is nestled in a forest like setting by which the project concept is that all areas must be as intimate to the landscape as possible.
An objective is to maximize the privacy of guests; Set in the farthest and deepest corner of the property, part of the pool area was land filled to compensate the level with the adjacent existing hall, adding depth to the entrance of the Pool and Lounge. Scale and verticality also came to play as the Architect opted to accentuate the height along with the neutral tones to blend with the surroundings. Customized Wood Grooves and Stone Palettes are utilized as the pronounced feature of the project to keep the developed area warm and welcoming during hangouts and events.
