The Zen Village is part of the Ngoa Van -Ho Thien cultural tourism complex, which includes: a restaurant, a coffee space, a Zen courtyard (a place for guidance, walking meditation, and discussions about Zen), and 216 guest rooms divided into two wings, each with 108 rooms nestled within the natural vegetation.
The vision is to create a natural landscape with a diverse and freely developing ecosystem – almost untouched by human hands – so that people living there can immerse themselves in nature, with architectural forms being nearly absent. The functional design prioritizes minimalism, with all necessary functions reduced to the minimum yet still complete and convenient, allowing people to focus on the surrounding natural environment. The spirit of Truc Lam Zen Buddhism permeates with humanism, aiming to resolve and eliminate hatred, greed, anger, and delusion, based on the philosophy that all people and all living beings, including nature, are closely interconnected and interdependent. Reality has proven that humanity finds happiness only when it knows how to connect, respect each other, and live in harmony with nature.

**Culture**
Dong Trieu means "eastern court." It is a land of cultural sedimentation, closely linked to the origins of the Tran Dynasty, one of the most renowned dynasties in Vietnam's thousand-year history of nation-building and defence. For the Tran Dynasty, Dong Trieu was not only their ancestral homeland but also a typical and unique spiritual and cultural centre with a complex of sacred and mysterious religious and belief architectural relics, containing enduring spiritual values.
Dong Trieu has many craft villages serving the people and the market, such as the Dong Trieu Pottery and Porcelain Village, as well as rice milling, household carpentry, masonry, construction material production, edible mushrooms and ingredients, brocade weaving, bamboo and rattan basketry, blacksmithing, small mechanics, repair services, garment making, embroidery, coal carving, etc.
**Truc Lam Zen Buddhism**
Truc Lam Zen Buddhism is a unique Vietnamese Zen sect – deeply imbued with Vietnamese national cultural identity. Founded by King Tran Nhan Tong, it unified the previously existing Zen sects.
With the spirit of "engaging with the world" and "finding joy in the mundane," it seeks enlightenment not by abandoning the world, but rather through embracing life. Buddhists should immerse themselves in the joys and sorrows of the nation, yet return to a detached monastic life in times of peace.
Buddha is the mind; whoever has a mind has Buddha, without distinction of gender, age, or religious affiliation. This is the truth of equality for all. Becoming a Buddha is realizing enlightenment within one's own mind, not on high mountains or in distant heavens. It takes humanity as its root, respecting and elevating human value and national strength.
It is a Zen sect deeply imbued with the Vietnamese spirit, unique to the Vietnamese people, and associated with a glorious historical period of the nation.
