In order to be able to create missing space for the crèche, the existing kindergarten was supplemented by an extension.
With its elongated basic form, the new building encloses the existing garden on three sides and creates a sheltered inner courtyard with a high quality of stay.
The gable roof structure, wrapped in a wooden cladding made of narrow larch wood slats, represents the archetype of traditional regional construction. In the introverted rooms, such as sanitary areas and relaxation rooms, a semi-transparent facade cladding covers the windows and thus restricts the view from outside into these rooms .
As a link to the existing building, a flat intermediate building is arranged, which encloses the active usable areas such as arrivals, cloakroom, play areas, parents' areas and play terrace. The western part of the building accommodates the quiet and functional areas like a backbone.
The interior design is restrained due to the reduced material design with wood and visible concrete.
