Port St. Lucie is home to the New York Mets Spring Training, the St. Lucie Mets Minor League Team and all the New York Mets Minor League operations. The Mets wanted to plan the entire 100+ acre site for a more intimate fan experience while attending spring training. EwingCole’s design includes a variety of fan amenity upgrades to the 7,000-seat stadium as well as new state-of-the-art player development facilities. The new player development facilities include an MLB Clubhouse, new synthetic turf full-size practice field, new half-size practice field, bunting fields, four covered batting tunnels, 10-pack pitching field, and strength, conditioning, and nutrition spaces. Stadium upgrades include a new landscaped arrival plaza, team store, new restrooms and concessions, wider concourses, outfield concourse extension with feature bar, and a new elevator.
