Kansas State University sought an outdoor gathering space where students and alumni could socialize and celebrate school tradition.
The vision for the proposed pavilion is of a structure germane to the park-like setting, and providing functional flexibility. The proposed site is situated in a prominent location between the Chester E. Peters Recreation Center and the Bill Snyder Family Stadium. This allows for event opportunities during football season, as well as, more casual and impromptu ones throughout the year. The design incorporates materials embodying the context and traditions that define KSU.
