Nebula Shroom Grove is a celebration of togetherness, joy, and the profound beauty of communal effort. Born from a collective vision, Nebula came to life at Burning Man, where volunteers and donors united their skills, resources, and passion to create a space that inspires connection and creativity. Its towering mushroom-like modular structures, glowing with solar-powered light, embody the intricate interconnectedness of fungi, a powerful metaphor for how communities thrive when they work together.
Crafted from CNC-cut plywood and bio-resin. Nebula was designed to provide both fun and shelter. At Burning Man, it became a place where people could gather, reflect, celebrate and share their experiences. Every detail of its modular design reflects the collaborative spirit that built it, proving that when people come together, they can achieve the extraordinary.
Today, Nebula continues its purpose at Second Sky, a learning and community center in Tucson, Arizona, dedicated to education, sustainability, and inclusivity. Here, it serves as a symbol of hope and a gathering space for workshops, celebrations, and quiet moments of reflection. Second Sky’s mission to foster a brighter, more sustainable future aligns perfectly with Nebula’s purpose, as the installation sparks conversations about creativity, environmental stewardship, and the power of collaboration.
Nebula Shroom Grove is more than an artwork—it is a living story of what can be accomplished through collective effort. By giving back to the communities it touches, Nebula reminds us that the most meaningful creations are those that bring people together and leave a lasting legacy of joy and connection.
