The Nanjing Economic Development Zone, where the project is located, has a history of 30 years. The park needs to re-introduce business formats and creative vitality. The client hopes that this 650-square-meter tea room will bring changes to this area. After being cut, the site is a part of the mountain slope, and it is relatively flat. There used to be some temporary houses. Over the years, giant tree canopies on all sides have invaded the site to form a shelter, and the boundaries were blurred.
The design has kept only 6 trees with a diameter of 15 cm on the site. No plants were newly planted. Instead, the abundant natural scenery around the site was absorbed into people's vision and experience through rich spatial conversion.
Going up the hillside, you will gradually see dark buildings hidden under the woods. After entering the room, there will be 5 turnings and conscious guidance of the sight, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the natural mountains, rivers, and forests. Through the control of light, the room is slightly dim. After the visitors are seated, their eyes will naturally turn to the mountain forest outside the window. Indoors, there are stairs that can directly reach the platform under the forest, which connects the building with the forest. We have been to multiple places to compare and select furniture, hanging pictures, lamps, and tableware supplies to ensure the integrity of the overall experience.
