Different from the traditional barrack-style and factory-style industrial parks’ layout, the planning of Nanjing Galaxy World Industrial Park is simple and rational. The building is adjacent to the boundary of the site, forming a continuous enclosure. The central area forms a natural landscape green valley, and the buildings organize entrances and exits outward from the center, and overlap and arrange from the periphery toward the center. There are no walls around, so the park is completely open to the city. The form of aggregation allows the site to be open while still guaranteeing privacy. A school plot is located on the north side of the project. The open layout allows the school to be easily accessible from the subway station, forming a link in the city's slow traffic system.
As the gateway image of Nanjing, the building stands at the intersection of urban roads with a strong sense of symbolism. It forms a roof space across the intersection above. Nearly 30 meters high and 20 meters wide, the spacious space shows a strong spatial impact. When the train enters station, people can clearly see the landmark building in shape of a gate from the right windows. At this moment, we are giving this city a symbol of wisdom and strength.
The building adopts white perforated plate curtain wall system and glass curtain wall system. A large area of continuous perforated panels along the urban interface are designed to construct the grid facade to emphasize the overall form. A facade window system is installed inside the perforated plates to make the entire facade appear clean and tidy. The area along the green valley interface is dominated by glass curtain wall. The perforated plates are interspersed and embellished, integrating with the natural ecological environment to highlight the relaxed and leisure atmosphere.
