The multifunctional complex is located in the central part of Lviv’s Sykhiv district – an area with a high concentration of residential and educational functions. The site is situated at the intersection of Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue and Kos-Anatolskyi Street, benefits from convenient transport connections, and is bordered on the western side by a tram line, which is an important prerequisite for the formation of a large public complex.
The five-storey multifunctional complex is divided into two functionally independent parts. The first three floors accommodate a shopping and entertainment center with stores of well-known retail brands, cafés and restaurants, as well as a cinema, a children’s entertainment center, and a gym.
In the eastern part of the site, the Sykhiv Living Room educational center is designed. The main spaces are located on the fifth and sixth floors and include areas for startup work, as well as learning spaces for school pupils and students. Within this innovative environment, facilities for clubs, educational courses, sports sections, and creative activities are planned.
Thus, the densely populated Sykhiv district will gain not only modern retail infrastructure but also a strong educational component that will contribute to the development of both the district and the city as a whole. The highlight of the educational center is a spacious entrance lobby with a three-storey atrium, a cafeteria, and conference halls.
One of the key urban design solutions of the project is the connection of two public spaces by a passage formed between the entrance to the shopping and entertainment center from Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue and the square in front of the educational center. This solution improves pedestrian mobility, increases the accessibility of the complex, and creates an active urban space.
The project предусматриває the implementation of a two-level underground parking facility, which provides convenient access to the complex for motorists and can also be used as a shelter during air raid alerts.
The architecture of the shopping and entertainment center is characterized by dynamic and plastic forms. The main volume is designed using a parametric approach, with aluminum panels stretched over a secondary metal frame. At the corners and cantilevers, the panels are rotated, creating an effect of lightness and weightlessness. The building’s expressiveness is enhanced by the projecting volume of the food court terrace, which accentuates the main entrance to the complex and creates a protected public space below.
