The residential high-rise is located right on the waterfront of Verkh-Isetskyi pond. This unique location has influenced the building’s unusual architectural and planning solution. A large number of housing units have screened-in patios facing the waterfront zone.
We managed to achieve this by using a cross-shaped planning scheme where the building is divided into four blocks surrounding a unified communicational core. This made it possible to create an enlarged pericentral outline and increase the number of window apertures, and make a large number of apartments multisided.
Apart from that, due to the varied number of storeys in each block, we managed to make several penthouse apartments with large terraces on the building’s roof with a wonderful view of the biggest waterbody within the city limits. The vertical window blocks across the façade create wavelike patterns on the façade planes, making the building’s outline look graceful.
