Our bureau «ARCHINFORM» is pleased to present you one more author's architectural object designed and implemented by us in Yekaterinburg. This is a modern residential complex «7th sky» on the Gurzufskaya Street. It was fundamentally important for us to offer a non-utilitarian approach to the formation of a new business-class residential complex.
The building with a height of 24 floors is actively visible in the city silhouette from different points, so in the compositional solution we focused on working with several scales. On Gurzufskaya Street, formed by 5-story residential buildings, a low-story section overlooks, supporting the existing scale of development. The high-rise section is a variable-storey plate with volume clipping at the level of 16 floors, so that another high-rise tier is conditionally fixed, corresponding to the building on the opposite side of the street. Floors 16 to 24 are separated into a separate block that completes the general composition.
In architecture - the triumph of functionalism. Nothing superfluous - pure proportions. Each architectural part is found in the context of a figurative solution. The accents of colors and materials in the decoration of the facades are succinctly used.
The result is an unusual and bold concept for a residential building, built on the proportion of volumes and harmony between function and form. All this gives the building a conceptual character, and individual architectural details create characteristic accents.
