Set on a remarkable site on the east coast of Vietnam, this beautiful site blends the key elements of the surrounding area to become unrivalled hospitality led mixed-use development in Asia, with the aim to be a landmark destination that encapsulates the rich and vibrant local history of Mui Dinh.
Location:
Comprising six resorts and a boutique hotel for a total of 7,000 guestrooms, the mixed-use development is located on the east coast of Vietnam, 300 kilometres northeast of Ho Chi Minh City.
Inspiration:
The concept has been developed integrating all functional aspects within the brief whilst delivering a series of buildings that complement and intend to become part of the picturesque setting. The design reflected key elements of the surrounding area, the scheme is inspired by the rich local history of Mui Dinh, particularly that of the Cham tribal culture and the lost world of the last dynasty.
Function:
The masterplan also includes an adventure park, an ecological discovery centre, casino, beach club, mountain clubhouse and 500 ocean facing villas. The smaller buildings are set around the mountain with ocean views to better integrate them into the surroundings, whilst the larger resort facilities are situated along the coast next to a long white sand beach to enjoy the coastline and beautiful marine environment.
Sustainability principles are at the forefront of the development, with cross ventilation, natural materials, recycling centres and greywater reuse systems incorporated into the design of the buildings to create a responsible eco development with sustainable principles and minimal waste.
