Located in the West Village Historic District, Moonflower is a 500-square-foot wine bar that combines historic charm with modern intimacy. Arketekcher led the permitting and approvals process, successfully securing approvals from the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission and ensuring the design remained sensitive to the surrounding historic fabric.
Working in collaboration with Swimclub Studios, Arketekcher also refined the interior layout to maximize capacity and flow within the small footprint. The resulting design balances functionality, ambiance, and compliance, creating a space that feels both elevated and welcoming.
Now a neighborhood staple, Moonflower offers a carefully curated wine experience in a stylish, compact setting, exemplifying how thoughtful design can make a lasting impact, even at a small scale.
