Mölnlycke Health Care HQ – New Headquarters in GoCo Health Innovation City
In the heart of GoCo Health Innovation City stands Mölnlycke Health Care’s new headquarters, a building that brings together science, innovation and human presence. Selected through a competitive design process, Kanozi’s proposal combines tailored solutions with the unique qualities of one of Sweden’s most dynamic innovation clusters.
A building on a human scale
The 18,000 sqm headquarters consists of several volumes in varying heights, giving it a warm character and a distinct identity. The design follows GoCo’s masterplan, emphasizing human scale and vibrant street life while expressing Mölnlycke’s values and future vision.
Workspaces are organized around two atriums: The Heart, an open social meeting place, and The Lung, a calmer zone for focus and collaboration. Light materials, sculptural stairs and generous daylight create transparency, movement and a welcoming atmosphere.
Offices and laboratories
A key challenge was integrating activity-based offices with advanced laboratories. Flexible links between office areas and labs on the upper floors support efficient workflows, while goods and service flows are handled at street level. Some laboratories, such as the prototype workshop, are designed to be visible from the central atrium, making innovation an active part of the architectural experience.
A workplace people choose
The building is more than a workplace — it is a living hub where employees meet, collaborate and develop future innovations. The atrium with its barista forms a natural gathering point, connecting to offices, meeting rooms, a yoga studio, massage rooms and a south-facing terrace with a greenhouse and putting green.
In 2025, the headquarters achieved a Leesman Index score of 78.9, placing it 20th globally and making it the highest-ranked workplace in Sweden ever to receive Leesman+ certification — clear proof of the strong synergy between architecture, function and user experience.
Sustainability and wellbeing
Certified according to LEED Platinum and WELL Gold, the building focuses on energy performance, indoor climate and human health. Solar panels, advanced water solutions and shuttle buses reduce environmental impact, while spa-like changing rooms, a high-quality restaurant and generous social areas contribute to wellbeing. The headquarters reflects Mölnlycke’s identity — where sustainability, health and innovation meet architecture designed for people.
