Mochi was inspired by Tokyos traditional soup cuisine. Rough concrete, shiny copper and oiled oak become the frame of this unpretentious restaurant. The kitchen island is the central and distinctive element of the room and formulates, inspired by the Origami technique, different spatial situations. The functional strategy of the premises is based on the principle of mobility. Wheeled benches and a slight seating configuration make it possible to enlarge the space. Density and movement become the idiosyncratic feature.
