M&N Residence Family House In Ierapetra

It's a four member family house which is situated in a plot of 4000 sq.m., about 10 minutes driving distance from Ierapetra city on the southeast part of Crete. The orientation as well as the exact place of the building was an issue we had to deal with since the first appointment with the family. The decision is to base the house on the back of the plot, away from the busy road. The south-north orientation in cooperation with the right size and place of windows and the atrium helps the natural heating and ventilation of the building. The weather in the area is fantastic for the most of the year so a garden with different sitting places was necessary to design. The living room, the kitchen and the dinner table are located on the ground floor, whereas the bedrooms and the family room are located on the first one.
