The client’s vision was a free standing private SPA pavilion next to his holiday cottage. The pavilion sits on a beautiful site overlooking the spectacular peaks of Slovene Alps. The structure hosts several functions: a Finnish sauna, a shower, a sun deck and a jet pool, all packed under the same roof. When not in use as a SPA, the pool is covered with a sliding insulated wooden deck that keeps the water warm and transforms the pavilion into a multipurpose outdoor lounge. The façade is open and the glass roof is transparent. The finish of is made of vertical wooden planks (thermo wood) and wraps around the volume, covering the sides and the roof of the pavilion. They serve as a protection against direct sunlight and give the place a feeling of privacy.
