Combat helicopter pilot battalion :
The project takes place in a military zone located in the department of Moselle.
Three boxes around a body :
The project aims to break down the volume. A main 2-storey building accommodates the command post. Three squadrons in the ground floor are like three satellites, dissociated and arranged around this main building, in a radio-concentric manner. The large circulation gallery allows the articulation of these entities with each other. The breaking of the main building makes the insertion harmonious. It creates a linear forecourt; there is no urban neglect. The inflection comes from the alignment made between the neighboring building and the context to come. This inclination offers multiple perspectives from the streets and around the plot.
Manage sunshine :
Orientation is essential in the design of the building. Each squadron has a triple orientation and overlooks a green patio. The double height of the hall creates a veritable “light box”. To reduce light entry, the main body has a double skin. A sun visor made of micro-perforated sheet steel covers the entire building. The percentage of perforation required is calculated to balance views and light.
Organization :
The main entrance is located to the southwest of the plot, in the central part of the building. The creation of a free plan allows for versatility and adaptability of spaces.
