Micro-home
Micro-home is a passionately environmental home for everyone. It is prefabricated, “fast" architecture. UOOU studio cares to democratize design through affordable yet inspiring living.
The idea is to offer an off-the-shelf architectural product, which comes to you ready-made and ready-to-use. Tight, modular and energy-efficient, Micro-home is tailored to your preferences in advance. Make it your vacation home, home-office, guest house or small dwelling that flexes around your family's needs.
The material palette is rooted in sustainability and circularity.
Micro-home is mostly made of timber, which we see as a catalyst for the bio-based economy and a chance for our climate. Solar tiles roofing allows Micro-home to produce energy itself. OSB panels are used to create a seamless, inviting interior that needs no painting, is friendly to inhabit and easy to maintain clean. Cozy on the inside - hard on the outside Micro-home is a weather-protected home.An asymmetrically pitched roof optimizes solar system performance on the outside. On the inside it creates an elevated storage space for foldable furniture. This allows Microhome to work as an office space or a bedroom for two.The design is simple but not minimalistically boring. Details matter. Color matters. Every opportunity to create possibilities and spatial surprises within a very small interior is taken aboard. Owners are welcome to choose between different colors, design details and cladding materials becoming in this way part of their home-making.
