This twenty-acre passive park project in Miami Beach addresses the issues of climate change and sea level rise so critical to this barrier island, and the community’s need for recreation. The Park will serve as a neighborhood “resiliency model” by creating a biodiverse habitat with a large lake for retention of stormwater within the neighborhood watershed, reducing demand on the island’s infrastructure while improving water quality.
