The success story of 219 has provided an opportunity for the City to develop best practices for environmentally responsible construction, and consequently
changed the way the City designs and constructs all City buildings. Along with meeting the department’s mission of serving the community, the design of these two stations embraced and blended with its surroundings, symbolizing the department’s commitment to the community. Mesa Fire Station No. 219 was the recipient of the Station Style Satellite Fire Station "Notable" Award.
